I have heard them referred to (disparagingly, I think) as RUBs- Rich Urban Bikers. Where I live we have a lot of Rich subUrban Bikers that exchange their coats and ties on weekends for leathers and bandanas and go out riding in the desert in groups.

one big problem w/ hardly's is that they can't really be sold on their merits, since they have few to none relative to other bikes
