Les, Yeah, I'm still smarting over John Quincy Adams beating Ol' Hickory due to some Ivy League College called Electoral. <g> If I remember my history correctly, Rutherford B. Hayes, His Fraudulency, did not receive the popular vote, either, but garnered some extra electoral votes when he basically agreed with Nathan Bedford Forest to roll back the results of The Civil War. Men of integrity, our forefathers. <g>

BTW, this is not a knock on Forest. Everyone knew his opinion. It was Hayes who was disingenuous. And Forest was one of the great cavalry commanders of all time. Some would say the greatest, though Mosby (The Grey Ghost) and Jeb Stuart fans would disagree. Custer also had many supporters until he got some of their kids killed out west.
