IMO Kennedy was just as important as Reagan in the collapse of the Soviet Union. He just doesn't get much credit because,...well,...it's somewhat embarrassing to most liberals. Instead, most would rather believe, that in his second term, John would magically turn into Robert. ******************************************************************************* Interesting comment, DavesM. Why would liberals be embarrassed if indeed Pres Kennedy was equally responsible for the collapse of USSR as Pres Reagan?. Do you feel they would not want to be associated with his firm stands against U.S.'s enemies? By saying liberals would rather believe he might have eventually evolved into Robert Kennedy.....do you mean they hoped he would become less aggressive & more passive about defending the U.S.'s interests?
