I haven't heard of anyone proven innocent who was actually executed in the past 50 years in the U.S.

People can talk about convictions all they want. That's not what I'm talking about.

There probably are more, IMO. First of all, there are more rape cases than murders. Secondly, a live person can claim someone raped them when they didn't ( for revenge by a spurned lover etc.) , a dead person can't claim an innocent person killed them.
