BTW, what do you think the privatization of water supplies is all about? Some of what I say about the matter of infrastructure has a very serious side to it. There were riots in Bolivia recently when one city's water supply was privatized and handed over to Bechtel. Bechtel immediately raised the rates and the police came out and killed protestors who could no longer afford drinking water. This same sort of scheme is being proposed by T. Boone Pickens taking North Texas water and shipping it to either Dallas or San Antonio. What do you think ol' Boone would do in drought year? Extract as much profit as he can would be my guess and leave citizens with taps that have run dry. This stuff is worth stopping before it gets out of hand.
