But.... Doesn't Intel sell 4 times as many chips as AMD, so that there are always more pages of Intel parts, with the ratio even higher than that at the high end?

And doesn't Intel's new .13 process make is easier for them to FAB their fastest chips than the last gasp of AMD's old .18 process?

Why can't Intel supply the channel with fast parts?

Fry's advertised a Compaq XP1700+ machine today, the first time ever for an XP desktop, except e-machines. They have been really concentrating on the low end and pushing the $250 to $300 E-machine/Cyrix box.

The best deal is an XP2000+/Epox KT266A motherboard combo for $279.
