You're right. It's an unusual formation (the V bottom), but let's assume for now that it might have happened! If you take a look at a monthly cash chart for the POG, you see a much nicer double bottom (sounds quite erotic, but I'm talking TA here :^)

The first low was $252.80 in July/August 1999 and the second was $255.90 in April 2001. So I'm *hoping* that the next great bull market in gold started almost a year ago! But, IMHO, that won't be confirmed till we get a monthly cash close above $326.

This is a great thread. Lots of interesting perspectives... I really should get some work done!
