Nobody knows. Everyone's got a theory, but nobody knows. I wonder who funded this effort? Out here, many perceive the FI "think tank" as a group of apologists for globalist, rightist, neo-conservativism. The only answer will be data: until we have enough, who knows? "This leads to needless anxiety and obscures any real hazards that might exist as well as possible means of controlling them," says Alan McHughen, professor of genetics at the University of California and the book's author." Thanks, Alan. That's one side of the debate. The other side says there are possible dangers, and we should watch closely. They feel their anxiety is far from "needless". I agree with them, though not with the more extreme position that biotech should be rejected, out-of-hand. No harm in keeping a sceptical eye on this business. Regards, Jim
