" they are taxpayers as well" That's a wonderful joke, repeated by taxpaid people everywhere... You are either paid by taxpayers, or pay into the pot. If you get taxpayers' money, and shave a little to put back, you still are living off of the good wishes of the taxpayer. Or ignorance of the taxpayer, in the case of politicians and Beltway Bandits. I like the idea of clearing away the charade altogether, and privatizing the military, making it an official part of Bush Inc. global oil efforts, and let them pay taxes, instead of the other way around.
