rule number 5,002, of course, is that when you surrender, the stock will immediately run hard against you. <g>

Cisco May Lose $200 Million From Velocita Investment (Update3)03/20
By Scott Lanman

San Jose, California, March 20 (Bloomberg) -- The meltdown in the fiber-optic and telecommunications industry was just beginning when Cisco Systems Inc. decided in April to back startup Velocita Corp. with $485 million in cash and loans.

Velocita and its plan to build a 20,000-mile U.S. communications network now are at risk of collapse. Cisco, the world's largest maker of equipment to link computers, may lose at least $200 million in a bankruptcy, analysts say. In February, unprofitable Velocita said it would fire 75 percent of its 240 workers and was considering ``strategic alternatives.''
