Depends on which juniors and majors. It is not a question of category, but more a question of company specifics.

A portofolio can be perfectly balanced using only juniors or a mix of juniors and mid-tiers, without a single senior.

If you do not want through the selection process, I suggest a mutual fund. My favorite is Dundee Precious metals (DPM.T). It is still selling below NAV and goes up and down with gold with additional leverage. Has a good mix of juniors and seniors. One of the best performers in the past 15 months. Many of our subscribers are in at $6-$8.
