I'm thinking those damned steel tariffs and the fact that we have had wage increase demands in a recession have a lot to do with inflation expectations. As I'm sure you are aware, the dollar strength has had a lot to do with keeping inflation hidden, notice the dollar took its dive south the day after those protectionist tariffs went into place. Add in bigger government spending (are we sure Bush is Republican?) and Houston, we have a problem.
