Nice dream. Unfortunately, reality demonstrates complete opposite of this propaganda. Government power? Government has NEVER had more power than under this administration. Government power increased under Reagan, Bush, and Clinton as well. Self-aggrandizement? The Republican beneficiaries of this administration are making money greater than any time in history. You are sadly fooling yourself. The individual, including yourself, has no choice whatsoever. You can vote Republican or Democrat. If you look at the programs, votes, taxes, and expansion of government power into our homes and pocketbooks, you can have no other conclusion than they are all methodically lying to you. But, if it makes you happy, keep the dream alive... Maybe, someday, somewhere there will be an actual vote that reduces the power of government to confiscate and invade our lives, which isn't countermanded immediately by Congress or the administration, and if that is a Republican vote, more power to them.

"preservation of liberty and prevention of the liberal tyranny. " The prevention of tyranny would best be done by all members of the Administration and Congress resigning, immediately. It doesn't matter who replaces them. Even a lottery would be an improvement for the American taxpayer.

You would have been more accurate, to say "Liberas raise taxes and create programs for the better good and use fiscal discipline to keep things in order.. Conservatives spend money they don't have and cosnfiscate Government power, wrecking the future of America, and milking the poor while the rich get to write off expenses and enjoy welfare ie corporate or otherwise. Their mission is preserve for the rich and pillage and plunder whatever the middle class and poor have remaining while making sure that they dictate to all what is right and wrong while they censor the press and individual freedoms." That about sums it up!!!!!!!!!!!! Next another Democratic Admin will have to clear up the fiscal and social mess left behind by this one.
