<<get a bill passed that would require auto makers to make their vehicles only 3 MPG more fuel efficient it would save us more energy than we will get from drilling in ANWAR.>>

Of course history proves again and again that's not true. Cheaper fuel = more use. An inconvenient fact for liberals who would destroy our economy under the guise of saving it.

Drill, drill, drill. And when you need more, see above. Plenty of dead dinosaurs to go around, and they aren't all in the Persian Gulf...

<<The answer is because the amount of campaign donations he could garner from the increase in fuel efficiency is dwarfed by the amount he gets by not doing this. He cares more about himself and his right wing buddies than he has ever cared for the public.>>

Just because the vast, vast majority of Americans reject your opinion doesn't mean that the policy is the result of "campaign donations". Though I can't blame anyone for sending in money to keep crackpots like you at bay.

It's a fossil fuel economy. The enviro-whackos can't give us any of that-so they lose...

"He cares more about himself and his right wing buddies than he has ever cared for the public."

Ridiculous. Do you really see him like that, or do you just make that up because you hate him?

At least 88% of Americans disagree with your warped view.
