AMD Shuffles Channel Execs

By Rich Cirillo, VARBusiness

1:45 PM EST Wed., Mar. 20, 2002

Chipmaker AMD is shaking up its channel marketing team with the replacement of its director of field marketing, VARBusiness has learned.
A company spokeswoman, contacted by VARBusiness about the change, confirmed that Lee Little, AMD's North American director of field marketing, has been replaced by Robert Fuller, who held the field marketing director's role in the late 1990s.

Little's new role at AMD is director of sales for several OEMs in North America, says the spokeswoman. While the spokeswoman did not comment on what caused AMD to replace Little, she says his new position is a lateral move, not a demotion.

What OEMs??? Not a demotion??? Ha!

I expect the merger to set things back at least six months to a year at HP/Compaq.
