Did you happen to see AMAT's 2-fer-wun split announcement? Wang's predicting an upsurge in chip sales in the latter half of this year. Why do I see this as more of a head fake than an actual positive event? Does someone long to be back in the days of the bubble where 2-fers were an everyday occurrence? Is someone thinking that perhaps if we split then everything will be okay, just like it used to be? I realize that AMAT is projecting some mighty fine numbers (given the current state of the economy), but I still smell something funny... KJC
