This has serious repercussions. NExt, they will unionize and when they go on strike, it will affect the entire German economy. There will be some nasty frustrated men walking around Berlin kicking their dogs and making passes at their wives. I thought this was a fascinating tidbit- their earnings were taxed, but before the law was passed, sexual services were legally declared "immoral." Not illegal, just immoral? Does that mean that you are free and clear with Caesar as long as you don't mind being immoral? This is good! Let God deal with the immorality part later.
