much of what you mentioned are toys and gadgets. Healthcare insurance is much more expensive than before despite some of the cheaper procedures you mention.

My point is that the main costs of living, food ,housing and health care are much more expensive, yet people seem transfixed by their cheap TV's with 500 channels and inexpensive 266mhz hand held computers....

yes some stocks are lower, yet hardly "cheap". I think you know stocks in general are not less expensive than in years past, except when measured against 3/2000, and even then it is a close call.
