No. Ike and George Marshall were qualified for positions at the very top of post-war government. Their war experiences were executive. Bravery in war is commendable, but it qualifies one for nothing afterword. Exploiting it in politics was-before our great cultural decline-considered dishonorable. John McCain is living proof of why that attitude should still prevail today...
