My vote is different from Poet's on this. I feel strongly that posts about banned individuals should not be made on any thread, and that if they are, inadvertently, they should be deleted.

It deeply violates my sense of fair play. If I were the moderator, I'd moderate it out of existence.

Anyone who wants to discuss a banned person has plenty of public threads to do it on.

You and misunderstand my point. It was about following the person's preferences (this person would prefer...). My preferences were egregiously violated for seven months. I find the request hypocritical with a capital H.

I agree with the 'don't discuss the banned' rule. No problem with deletion either.
