And one of these is to remove the issue of being an "occupier" (rightly or wrongly) from the equation, so that further violence can be obviously referred to as unjustifiable. Hawk, I still don't think you're giving enough weight to the dangers of appeasement, and the dangers of the Green Line (Israel is less than ten miles wide in places), and the dangers of giving Arafat's bunch of thugs the name of a sovereign country, which will grant them all kinds of rights which can never be revoked no matter how they behave.
