True. We are a proud but sharing type of folk. The thing is that there are many secretes or perhaps better stated quarks that everyone employes. But the basic idea of discussing kiln construction is two fold at least. Sharing your kiln construction and stories generates good discussion and invariably leads to a host of new ideas which in tturn can benifit everyone involved.

You know, I was just thinking that this morning while reading this page on Robert Compton's website.
robertcomptonpottery.com
He describes the Studio Potters Bed & Breakfast program, where potters join and can take part in an exchange program of sorts, where they visit each other's studios. I think that is such a neat idea, especially when you think of how so many artists work in isolation across the countryside... and how good it is to get together with others just to talk shop, see what and how someone else works, get little ideas..and so on... seems like a brilliant idea.

Well, I sure do hope that nobody else gets hit with the same amount of snow that we've had. I think we have about a foot of snow on the ground after the past 2-3 days.

I am *not* amused... >:-[
