7:10AM China Unicom sub numbers could weigh on QCOM (CHU) 9.42: Goldman Sachs calls co's CDMA additions in February "very disappointing." China Unicom reported net CDMA adds for the month of just 9,000 after adding 439,000 in January. Firm also comments on Bloomberg story that China Unicom has begun offering CDMA handset subsidies in Beijing. Firm believes the appearance of subsidies and the weak sub numbers are a worrisome sign that profitability could be eroded very quickly unless the co brings this under control.
