I own a number of strictly Canadian exchange listed stocks: yes a little more difficult to trade them, but if you are looking for a big winner, which I think Clifton will be, what difference does it make? Cheers Dan -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clifton To Begin Gold Drilling/ASAP Human Trials Going Well Updated: Wednesday, April 17, 2002 07:01 AM ET Printer-friendly version ALPINE, UT, April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Clifton Mining Company (OTC: CFTN, news, msgs) is pleased to announce that drilling is scheduled to begin on the Cane Springs gold mine the first of May, 2002. The drilling will be accomplished by Clifton's venture partner, New Centennial Mining Inc. (NCM). The first phase of drilling will consist of four diamond drill holes which are expected to penetrate the gold veins below the 149' level. Geologic evidence suggests that the ore will continue to at least the 1,200 foot level. The ore is expected to become richer as it nears the contact at the 1,200 level. Historically, the mine has produced ore that averaged approximately one ounce of gold and several ounces of silver per ton. Existing rock pillars in the lower mine levels have assayed at as much as nine ounces of gold per ton. The mine was held for almost a century by a private family company, from which Clifton was finally able to secure a controlling ownership position after years of effort. With the successful completion of phase one drilling, NCM will excavate an audit and perform delineation drilling in the ore as well as exploration drilling to the deeper ore body at an estimated cost of some $350,000. The mine is located just 1,000 feet from Clifton's 250 ton per day processing mill. Biotech Investment ASAP SOLUTION(R)HUMAN TRIALS ON MALARIA GOING WELL American Biotech Labs (American Silver LLC) (a private company in which Clifton owns about 30%) is pleased to announce that the human trials with the ASAP Solution(R) against Malaria are reportedly going very well. Product sales to the West African countries are expected to begin as soon as August of 2002. The human trials are being completed in nine hospitals, in four different countries of West Africa. Test results are expected to be completed in the next 90 days. TWO MORE EPA APPROVALS ON THE WAY As announced in March, the ASAP Solution(R) has just received its first EPA approval as a non-toxic surface disinfectant for use in industrial, residential and commercial uses. The product is very effective at killing a wide range of bacteria, while remaining non-toxic to humans. Management is awaiting two more EPA approvals hopefully within the next 90 days.
