The absence of love is not hate, but rather fear. When a child is separated from its mother's love it cries out in fear, not in hate. All anxiety is born of fear. Fear is the stalking horse of the imagination.

The key to all blessings is to let go of fear and trust in God. When we surrender to fear we loose sight of God and thus create the experience of Hell. Even the Catholic Church has begun to recognize that Hell is not place into which a vengeful God casts the unwanted but rather the experience of separation from God which we ourselves create.

It is an act of great courage to renounce all fear. To simply decide that no matter what seems to be "happening" that one will not choose fear and will instead choose to see and experience only love. The very thought of such an attitude and approach to life is "scary" to many. And yet this is precisely the path that all great teachers have walked, and have invited each of us to walk with them. The path remains open and the choice is ours to make whenever and wherever we wish.

To make such a choice is to change one's entire experience of life. By choosing love over fear one becomes a source of love and light in the world. Such choices, sufficiently multiplied, transform the darkness of fear and literally create the Kingdom of God on Earth. What we see and do here now is part of that process.
