I knew enough Arabic to understand when one of them was complaining to another that they wouldn't be able to indulge in group masturbation like they usually did.

Maybe there dictionaries define "homosexuality" differently? :-)

I also spent some time in Tunisia. They were much more civilized (IMHO) there. The French seemed to do a good job on them. OTOH, I was working with Arabs from all over North Africa and the Middle East. One of their main complaints were that Tunisian men spoiled their women. They were afraid this might spread back home.
