Don Rhodes, I don't think you made your point poorly at all. What you said contained factors that should be considered. Other than those windmills being ugly, I frankly do not know what other impact they may have had on the environment. As you have said, there is far too much hypocrisy in many governmental programs, and a lot of it when it comes to protecting the environment. I am all for the preservation of the environment, although could not be considered a tree hugger. I am appalled about the destruction of the habitat of animal species that is forcing them toward extinction. Don't those in favor of huge expansion projects know that trees provide us with oxygen?? That wild animals have an extremely long record of helping to maintain a balance in nature?? When environmentalist try to give me a hard time for not contributing to Green Peace(a bunch of militant radicals), or the Sierra Club(a group of over aged bird watchers), I remind them of the many times they could have taken action to protect a certain animal, but declined to do so, and continued on with their tirades. One of the latest cases, is the mother whale, with a calf, that was tangled in a fisherman's net. Both would die without help, and many people volunteered to do what the could to help but, oddly enough, none of them were from Green Peace.
