There hasn't been a credibly documented case of an innocent person being executed in the past 50 years in this country.

The cases Solon's anti-death-penalty site cite are those where the capital punishment appeals process works to virtually guarantee no innocent person gets executed.

In the post I am replying to now you do provide examples from within the past 20 years (thanks, that is what I was asking for) but here again its not all of them.

I'm sorry, Tim. It went over your head.

"However, this is a minor complaint of relatively low importance because you have apparently provided what I asked for (I'll have to look more at the details to be sure). While technically it was not "all of them", it isn't really important for it to have been "all of them"."

Tim? Let me ask you something with good will: Why are you wasting time with these odd responses??

"A more important distinction about all those post 1970 cases you post is that none of them deal with someone who was actually executed" Tim, the web site was there for you to look at all the cases of executions for those of doubtful guilt. Do I have to turn the pages for you?

As my links to you proved, Tim. EXCEPT for extremely fortuitous circumstances and events unrelated to the efforts or the processes of the State, MANY exonerated people would have been EXECUTED. In consideration that those fortuitous circumstances and events did not occur for ANY of the people who WERE executed...are you unable to draw any conclusions of jeopardy or likelihood--without bothering me with weird messages like, "However, this is a minor complaint of relatively low importance because you have apparently provided what I asked for (I'll have to look more at the details to be sure??)"

If you have an interest in the issue, Tim, why don't you read a few articles, and share some of your own or the author's conclusions with me. Stop wasting time arguing what "is" is!

Here, please be my guest...
