I was startled, too, by his suggestion that US troops form a wall between the two peoples. Shocked, actually. I guess he expected people to be shocked. He built that into his column. I sure don't want any part of that. I think it's a horrible idea from a US perspective. I'd rather nuke both of them than stand between them. That last statement wasn't entirely in jest.

Still, his point was this:

I thought he made a pretty good argument. I haven't heard any other idea as likely to work. So I don't see how it can be nonsense. Which is not the same as saying I support the idea.
