Analysts expect Micron Technology (NYSE:MU - news) to post a loss of 5 cents a share on revenue of $654 million, according to Thomson Financial/First Call.

Revenue at that level would be a big improvement from the $424 million it had in the prior, first fiscal quarter.

Investors and analysts will also be looking for additional comments on the progress of Micron's combination talks with troubled South Korean memory-chip maker Hynix Semiconductor Inc., which have been ongoing since December.
