Joe,

Can you explain why it was ok for Compaq to do servers based on all the varieties of Xeon (Katmai, Coppermine, Cascades, Tualatin, Foster, Prestonia) plus some vanilla Pendium versions of all these generations, but it would not be ok to do a single AMD line?

1. Why break up a winning combination.

2. Development cost.

3. Server customers not comfortable with AMD.
