Not to defend CNBC, but don't you think GE going after 61 billion in corporate paper AND Bill Gross, bond guru, slamming them is probably the most newsworthy event of the day, market wise?

(In all honesty, I never turn on CNBC so they may have been obscenely transparent, but I do think it's a major story. Freeplet gets the TV the few times it's on around here. Trading with Barney in the background makes it really hard to go short <g>)

CNBC didn't do much for the stock....massive volume today, and a pile of money lost in that stock the past few trading days! I covered my trading shares today, mostly because the market is oversold, period, but will hold a core short.
