They can go 64 bit if they want to, but for the first couple of years I see people buying Hammer just because it is the fastest 32 bit machine they can buy.

I'm not one of those who has bought the hammer hype. Show me some real data showing hammer performance. I'll save you the time, there isn't any.

Jerry has lied so many times that only a fool would listen. AMD is in a position where they have no choice whatsoever but to hype hammer. Be the reality good bad or in between, they would be dead hyping anything but world leading performance. What else are they going to say? "Wait a year or so and if we're lucky and if somehow we can get the .13u SOI process to yield the performance will be so-so, provided Intel continues to screwup like they did a year or so ago?" They might as well put a bullet in their head. AMD's only prayer not is total and absolute hype and you guys buy it hook line and sinker.
