yes, technically it is a bullish engulfing pattern. A more important bullish engulfing pattern occurs when the black day has a small body (doji) and the white day has a long body (marubozu).

There's a pattern called railroad tracks where the market makes a strong move, in this case downward yesterday and then completely retraces on the next bar ... which happened today. It should go completely back where it came from and then some ...with then some equal to 100% of the prior swing ...rather than just the length of the tracks. Using 3/18/02 swing H with today as swing L gives these numbers for QQQ.

swing H 37.95
swing L 35.90
net 2.05

swing H + net = 40.00 target lol.

Anyone know anything about railroad tracks?
