Jozef, let me go back and state the original point because with several people getting into the discussion it's getting convoluted. We have a lot of hype but very little data. I can't prove the hype is wrong and I can't prove AMD is lying but regardless of if the hype is true or not AMD would be singing the same tune either way. That's my point. My argument is that with all the slips in hammer's schedule, with so many OEM's saying "no, we'll go with Intel", with the problems getting .13u into production, with the enormous complexity involved with .13u SOI and 9 metal layers, it is wrong to simply accept AMD's hype without question and promises of "worlds fastest processor" is the only thing that will possibly interest anyone, regardless of the reality.

While we are at this extreme level of speculation, how about we ponder what could happen if Intel loses performance crown across the board.

Well Intel has the performance crown and they make money while AMD loses it. If you would ask the question "what happens if the hammer hype doesn't prove true" you'd understand the point I've been trying to make. AMD has no choice but to claim "world's fastest processor", regardless of the reality.
