Candlestick charting is fine for short term trades.. however they don't provide insight to trends. volume candles do a little better. Will watch AMCC.. noted something going on with EMC, can't tell if its worth a play yet or if what I saw was it and its past (g). LU seems to have put in a volume reversal. Noticed NT was getting some interest.

As a number of silicon sectors aren't running with the semiconductors, I was trying to remember if there have been past semi runs without follow through in the industries they feed? Or have other sectors always followed higher after retooling the factory floor? If so, then the most depressed and most depressed (the telco and optical) will bouce earlier than currently judged. Or the semi's are out on a limb..

Harry, FWIW from Briefing.

11:23 ET Networkers advance into Sagawa call - should also help SONS and others in sector.

Briefing.com

Networking group edges up 1% on a day that most technology sectors are trading in the red. Talk on trading floors that hedge funds are positioning in the group ahead of Bersnstein analyst Paul Sagawa's conference call Monday. Given that Sagawa was one of the first to turn negative on the space, traders playing the angle that a softening of his negative stance on the group would carry weight in the market. Worth noting that Sagawa had been saying that the sector would trough in Q4, and we are hearing that he will say nothing new on the call.
