10:00AM: The major averages remain in negative ground though they have not extended early losses. Sell pressure is distributed relatively evenly through the markets as the Dow, Nasdaq and S&P 500 are each lower by about 0.5% at this point in the session. Total volume traded remains on the light side -- this is a dynamic that is likely to carry through the session as no economic reports are scheduled for release today. This means developments on the corporate front will drive the markets to finish out the week. DJTA -0.8%, DJUA -0.6%, Nasdaq 100 -0.5%, Russell 2000 -0.3%, SOX +0.2%, S&P Midcap 400 -0.5%, XOI -0.9%, NYSE Adv/Dec 963/1506, Nasdaq Adv/Dec 1050/1441
