Let's try an experiment. Osama bin Ladin was making his way to the Pearly Gates after being nailed by an American "daisy cutter" bomb in Afghanistan. Before getting there, he found Jesus. Really, he had a conversion to Christianity and accepted Jesus as his personal savior. Seeing the errors of his ways, he quotes Timothy 1:21 "Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. " "I'm waiting!", says Osama, impatient with his Lord. Jesus says "Follow me." Osama and Jesus walk along a path of gold and voices of the angels can be heard along the way. They continue walking for what seemed to be an eternity. The path of gold has now become a dirt path leading to a cave. The air smells of human waste rotting and dead corpses. Osama looks at the big gaping hole and says, "What's up with this? I've found you Lord and you are supposed to give me eternal life."
