"Intel should have 0.09u Prescott out by mid 2003"

Maybe. But Intel has been saying H203 or even late 2003...

Pravin:

"Intel should have 0.09u Prescott out by mid 2003. It will have a reworked core and hyperthreading."

If not, INTC will be eating AMD's dust...And I remain firmly entrenched in the "if not" camp...

"I fully expect that it will be competitive with the CH."

I'm in the "show me the money" camp when it comes to INTC's development curve...Nothing about p4's much hyped design over the past several years, suggests to me that any reworking will significanly alter the current slope of their product development curve...p4 has and continues to be uninspiring...On the other hand, the recent slope of AMD's product development curve, fueled by the Athy architecture, has veered significantly north over the past 3 years to the point where, today, its slope, imo, at least equals INTC's...and the chances of a significantly positive increase in the AMD curve with its Hammer development would seem much more than just a remote possibility!!!
