No news. Was expected. In fact Moody's is late. S&P did it last week.

"The downgrade follows a similar move by Standard & Poor's, which last week cut its rating one notch to single-B-plus from double-B-minus. Fitch Ratings recently affirmed its double-B-minus rating, with a negative outlook. Lucent first fell to speculative status in June of last year."

Junk is junk I say. No news there. LU has been in junk status since June last year. So what? In fact LU is in better shape now than last June (mind you I said Lucent not the telecom market :) And the fact that Lucent has plenty of liquidity and no need to tap their credit line and that the stock is already trading at a price as if LU bankrupt... who cares... just more opportunities for ST trades...

I just think Moody's and S&P got under so much hot water with Enron that now they've gone the extreme other way... but now it's too late though...

JMHO.
