The Kid deserves more than 'the benefit of the doubt'... he's a great guy, honest, genuine, personable and very individual.
I'll vouch for him (not that this probably helps) and assert that you'd like and respect him too, if you met him.

He bears only a slight resemblance to a crazed fanatic, and that's probably just a coincidence caused by bad lighting angles.
