If you really are open-minded on this, then why answer Sherry with "there is a reason for the former"?

I agree with her in that there is an element of mockery in much humor, certainly in that joke, and some would find it funny while others would not, or even find it offensive.

And no, I'm not going to play "let's share a Jesus-mocking joke" cause I don't remember jokes.
