However had I been 'exclusively' some buy and holder ignoring the excitement of the last couple of days (or a guy on vacation for that matter) I really wouldn't have been much the the worse for wear and awaiting my dividend qualification. So a few points to the buy and holders. It's a wash guys and the experiment continues ....stay tuned. Have a good weekend all. ---------------- Always good to see some input. But the one thing that I see a lot of is. Traders/Trading on the one side and Buy/Hold on the other side. And again that is really not a fair comparison. Because I and mine ar not strict buy/hold but accumulate on weakness following a model. When adding that important fact into the equation the results are always so much better. In your own case you say you are experimenting with the idea with at least a part of your portfolio. Now in doing so are you going to be taking into account the times when you should have added but did not. Or are these going to be forgotten or ignored. Or how about the times you think you were going to add much more but for some reason or other did not , but later are kicking yourself for for not doing so. Either of these cases will not show the strategy in its true light. And it will be a failing in the follower but not the model. Just something that should be kept in mind. If you truly want to do an honest testing. And that is all I or anyone could ask. -----------------
