No. We actually discussed that--whether he would serve beef at a party that Hindus would be attending. That discussion goes way back.

Respect does not oblige me to adopt someone's religion or its customs. It may be that not eating beef in front of a Hindu would be a matter of delicacy, but it would not otherwise affect me. We are discussing the manner in which one discusses these matter, including when there is disagreement. The point is not that there should never be disagreement, but that it should not involve trashing the other's point of view........
