Good points... One thing.

I've known and worked with some that should know about demand. They had zero clue at the top that they were building too much capacity for optical components... even if the bears had been telling them the telecom customers would eventually go bankrupt as they couldn't afford what they were buying... Their customers triple book just to get the needed parts..

I almost think you want to look at the decision makers for capacity as almost contrary indicators... start to buy the stocks when they can't see over the valley and are scared to death... and take some profits when they can't hire engineers fast enough to supply the end customers as the customers will triple book to try to get their semiconductors.
