Gadflies are just part of any barn where horsetrades take place. The life-cycle is usually triggerred when a pupa loses some money. It attaches itself to a scape-goat where it spreads a thick coat of daily blame. Typically, they are eaten before they ever reach maturity, preferably, with relish.
