Let the girl go (stay)

Kuwaiti girl with fake passport held

The ``young couple'' managed to steal the passport of an Indian maid working in the girl's household and changed the original photograph with that of Azmi.

Airport immigration officials told The Hindu that the 23-year-old Dhalal Falag Al Azmi, residing in Kuwait, fell in love with the 25-year-old, Khader Bhasha, hailing from Cuddapah in Andhra Pradesh. The two decided to come to India with dreams of a happy married life.
She pleaded with the authorities not to deport her as she would be either executed or stoned to death in view of the stringent laws there.

Amma and Annadhanam
hinduonnet.com
As the BJP-led saffron brigade turned up in strength at the Kapaleeswarar temple here, the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, today launched the ``annadhanam'' scheme in Hindu shrines in Tamil Nadu.
The scheme drew flak from former State Congress president, M.P. Subramaniam, who described it as ``anti-secular'', and the Tamil Maanila Muslim League president, Sheikh Dawood, and the Bishop,
Mylapore-Chennai Diocese, Church of South India, D. V. Deivasagayam.

JPR's note:
There is a message in this food donation at the temples of Tamil Nadu. The Government's participation (Amma) in non-secular services in Hindu Temples in the guise of food donation is a clear warning that the Amma Govt. won't brook any anti-people activities from minorities in the State of Tamil Nadu, and that the Govt. will come down hard on the miscreants. It looks like a preemptive move to keep the minorities in line and keep peace during her watch.

The Hindu Parivar encompassing RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal etc is the product of the despicable and uninvited foreign domination of India.

Ah, there's some revisionism for you. The Hindu fanatics are the creation of the British! They created these monsters before they left so that India will be permanently screwed. Now, that's a very refreshing theory...

It is a truism that majority rules and the minority howls. It is in the nature of things that the majority inflict their will upon the minority anywhere in the world.

I think there is some nation somewhere in the world, that has a "Bill of Rights" which essentially protects the minority from being trampled by the majority. Do you happen to know of the name of that country?! ;-)
