I don't know if it's "bitter" or what. Whatever it is, it's quite common.

I take his point about the misjudgment of many of the naysayers, but I still can't understand what causes him and others to want to eviscerate the loyal opposition, the askers of legitimate questions.

Yes, free speech is a bitch.
