I appreciate the development of his point about how Bush's actions have been greeted by libertarians.

As you know, I find myself in concert with the Dem party line on some things and the GOP on others, so I tend to be unhappy about some things whichever party holds the White House. With Bush, though, I've got the worst of both worlds. In those areas where I'm with the GOP, he strays. Except for the war, where I give him a lot of credit, I can't win anything. I thought I could at least count on him on free trade and spending. Pick any issue and ask me "Karen, what would you have your President do?" and then go bet on the other side. Goodness!

I'd be hoping for him to be gone in four years but for the lousy prospects on the other side. What's a libertarian to do?
