So, my problem is that he seems to need to feel like a beleaguered victim, and to see the omnipresence only of those he disagrees with... There is about, at best, a smidgens difference between this position and mine. Though I had not thought of the Bernard Lewis part of the argument. Been reading Michael Ignatieff's Kosovo book. Since this is his first book I've read, I can't put it in any serious context. But it's quite interesting. I've also got the book that has his Princeton lectures and commentary which I plan to take a look at next week. John
